MaP MCT or PIT2 is a mass spectrometry platform with the national ibisa label and the platfrom technologic label of Aix Marseille Université under the norm nfx 50-900 and iso 9001. It belongs to the biggest platform Marseille proteomics https://marseille-proteomique.univ-amu.fr/.
The platform is located in the basement of the school of pharmacy. It contains 4 main instruments :
- 2 gas chromatography mass spectrometrer
- 1 LC exploris 120
- 1 Maldi ultraflextreme
Three people are involved in the platform: Dr Dany Lafitte PhD HDR scientific director, Dr Emmanuel Wafo PhD deputy scientific manager, Mr Theo bob Muller technical manager.
The platform is specialized in various aspects of mass spectrometry like
- Analysis of pollutants by GC MS
- Dosing of drugs by orbitrap
- Maldi imaging of small molecules including drugs, small peptides, biomarkers, pollutants, etc…
